DESCRIPTION

This demo presents the Goodlawyer platform and is an opportunity to see how to access it. This is a new solution that provides on-demand, "a la carte" legal services. The primary target of the Goodlawyer platform is new entrepreneurs and small to medium business owners looking to save money on legal fees.

PRESENTER

Tom Alvarez, CPO & Co-founder at Goodlawyer 

Before Goodlawyer, Tom worked as an engineer for three years but felt unsettled in his work and realized that he needed to do something more personally fulfilling. Tom left the engineering field to pursue a greater purpose, where he teamed up with a lawyer and a developer to start Goodlawyer. Tom is now the Chief Product Officer and Co-founder of Goodlawyer, an online service that makes it faster and easier for clients to find and hire legal help. In his non-design time, Tom's a mountain enthusiast, wannabe pro skier and a self-proclaimed dog whisperer. 

Katie Knopp, Digital Marketing and Sales Manager 

Katie has been along the Goodlawyer journey since the early days but has taken on a full-time role since September. With a degree in Behavioural Sciences and a minor in Development Studies, Katie always knew that her ultimate career was to be a community grower; and at Goodlawyer, she does just that! By providing free legal webinars that help small businesses and entrepreneurs in Canada, Katie is glad to be a gear in helping develop the startup community in Canada. In her non-Goodlawyer time, Katie enjoys bringing out her inner Gordon Ramsey in the kitchen (without the fiery British temper).
